From a mountain workshop to a 12-acre candle factory
Zhejiang Tonglu Zhongyi Gifts Factory began in August 1998 at the foot of Tongjun Mountain, making natural beeswax candles and hand-finished craft candles. Three moves and nearly three decades later, we are a 12-acre manufacturer with a team of more than 60 people, supplying Jewish candles, scented candles and seasonal collections to customers worldwide.
The dates below are not a timeline for its own sake. Each move explains how our capacity, quality control and export experience were built, and what that means for the candle program you place with us today.
A beeswax workshop at the foot of Tongjun Mountain
The factory started as a small workshop in August 1998. In the early days the team specialized in natural beeswax candles while also processing a variety of artisanal craft candles for local and export buyers. Beeswax was not a marketing choice; it was the product the workshop was built around.
That focus gave us a practical understanding of wax behavior, molds, wicks and finishing, and it built a reputation for handwork that supported every later expansion. It is also why beeswax candles remain part of our range today.
Three moves, three chapters

Moved to Tonglu Qingshan Industrial Park: about 6.5 acres, 10+ additional staff, and the start of foreign trade.
Relocated to a site of around 12 acres with a team of more than 60, upgrading buildings, equipment and support facilities.
