Our Workshop

Inside Our Candle Workshop

Every candle we ship is made in our own workshop in Tonglu, Zhejiang, where wax preparation, pouring and hand dipping, wick setting, color matching, fragrance dosing, labeling and export packing sit under one roof. Founded in 1998, we have spent nearly 30 years refining the processes behind our Jewish, beeswax, scented and outdoor candle lines. The photographs below show the workshop as buyers see it during a factory visit: our own production floor, our own team, and no outsourced filling.

01 / Production Flow

From Wax to Carton: How Your Order Is Made

The same workshop handles every stage of production, so buyers can keep wax, wick, color, fragrance and packing consistent across a mixed order instead of coordinating several suppliers.

01

Wax preparation

Fully refined paraffin, soy wax and natural beeswax are melted and held at a controlled temperature before each run, with the formula fixed to your target burn time and price point.

02

Forming and molding

Taper candles are hand dipped layer by layer; pillars are cast in molds; jars and tins are filled on the line. Custom molds can be developed, with tooling typically taking about 10 days and the mold owned by you. See the custom candle process for how a new shape is approved.

03

Wick and color

Cotton or wooden wicks are centered and tensioned for the candle diameter, while colors are matched to Pantone references on wax and packaging, with a 7-day color check before approval.

04

Fragrance

IFRA-compliant fragrance oils or essential oils are dosed by weight from our library or your own formula; unscented runs, including our Jewish candle lines, are kept separate. Fragrance load and wick pairing for scented candles are set at sampling, not on the line.

05

Inspection

Wick centring, color and burn performance are checked in line, followed by 100% visual inspection before packing. The checks are the same ones described on our factory page.

06

Packing and loading

Retail boxes, gift sets and printed export cartons are packed on site, with a pre-shipment report covering photos and carton weights issued before loading. Export documents and payment terms are summarised on the support page.

02 / What We Make

What the Workshop Produces

Five candle families run under one roof. Each has its own wax handling, wick specification and packing routine, which is why a mixed container can be built without splitting the order across suppliers.

Jewish candles

Hanukkah taper candles in the standard 0.9 x 14 cm size, plus Shabbat, Havdalah and Passover lines. Kosher-standard production, packed 45 pcs per box or to your box structure.

03 / Quality Control

Quality Control Before Shipment

Checks happen during production and again before the carton is closed, so a defect is caught on our floor rather than in your warehouse.

01

In-line checks

Wick centring, color and burn performance are checked while the line is running.

02

100% visual inspection

Every finished candle is inspected before packing, not sampled from the top of the carton.

03

Third-party access

Third-party inspection or your own QC team are welcome on site. Test reports and compliance documents are published on the certificate page.

04

Pre-shipment report

Photos and carton weights are issued before loading, so the container matches the approved sample.

FAQ

Questions About the Workshop

Is the workshop a factory or a trading office?

A factory. Wax preparation, dipping, pouring, wick setting, finishing and packing all happen on our own site in Tonglu. The factory page shows the lines and equipment in more detail.

Can we audit the workshop or send our own QC?

Yes. Buyers and third-party inspectors are welcome on site by appointment. Contact us with your dates and the candle families you buy.

Do you handle custom molds and fragrances?

Yes. Custom molds typically take about 10 days and are owned by you; fragrance can follow your own formula or be selected from our IFRA-compliant library. The custom page explains the approval steps.

How are unscented and scented runs kept apart?

Unscented programs, including the Jewish candle lines, run separately from fragranced production so wax and equipment do not carry scent between orders.

What is the minimum order for a workshop-run program?

MOQ depends on the candle family, mold and packing. Send the specification and we will confirm the run size together with lead time; typical terms are described on the custom candle page.
