What We Control in Production
Clay adds weight and porosity to a candle, so the checks start before the wax goes in.
Pot inspection
Each pot is checked for hairline cracks, chipped rims and uneven bases before it reaches the filling line.
Moisture and pre-heat
Pots are dried and warmed before pouring, which limits air pockets and wax separation at the clay wall.
Wax and wick matching
Wick size is set to the pot opening, not to a generic jar, and confirmed on a timed burn in the actual vessel.
Paint and print
Painted or printed surfaces are checked for adhesion and rub resistance after the candle has cooled.
Drop and carton test
Filled pots are drop-tested in the export carton, because clay failure in transit is the main claim risk.

Questions Buyers Ask Before the First Order
Practical answers on clay, citronella and transit for terracotta candles.
Can the pot be reused after burning?
Yes, if you specify a removable wax cup or a lined insert. Without it, residue stays in the clay and the pot is a single-use item.
Will the clay crack in transit?
Clay is heavier and more brittle than glass, so we drop-test the packed carton and can add dividers or molded pulp trays where the route needs it.
Is the citronella version a repellent?
It is a citronella-scented candle, not a registered insecticide. Label wording should stay within the claims allowed in your market.
Can you match our own pot supplier?
Yes. Send pots to our factory and we will confirm filling, wick size and burn performance on your vessel before bulk.
What is the minimum order?
2,000 pcs per size and color as a standard, with mixed colors inside one size. Smaller trial runs are quoted case by case.
Which documents come with the order?
MSDS, candle safety reports such as ASTM F2417 or EN 15494, an Intertek SQP report where required, plus invoice and packing list.
