Torch Candles That Lift Citronella to Seating Height
A torch candle puts the citronella plume at waist height instead of table height. The scent spreads across a seating area rather than drifting off a tabletop, which is why event grounds, resorts and garden centers order this format by the pallet.
The body is ribbed in a spiral so the wax melts faster and releases citronella sooner, and a dry bamboo stake holds the flame above the lawn. It is filled in the same Tonglu workshop as our outdoor citronella candles, terracotta candles and mosquito repellent candles, so one container can mix all four formats.

CONTROL POINTS
What We Control in Production
Every torch passes the same five checkpoints between wax and carton. They are the reasons a reorder behaves like the first order.
Wax and citronella load
Citronella oil is blended into the wax at the load agreed on the sample, not topped up at filling. Each batch for the run is poured from the same blend.
Body molding and ribbing
The spiral rib is cut into the mold rather than applied as a finish, so the melt pool opens evenly and the flame stays centered as the body shortens.
Wick specification
Wicks are sized to the body diameter, glued and centered before the first pour, then checked again after the second pour closes the surface.
Stake fitting
Stakes are dry, sanded and fitted with a metal cup. Length is matched to the ground the torch goes into, whether lawn, gravel or a planter.
Labels, warnings and cartons
Market warning text, barcodes and multilingual labels are applied before sealing. Cartons are marked for container loading and checked against the packing list.

The same torch is specified three different ways depending on where it is sold. Tell us the setting and the specification follows.
Garden borders
One torch every few meters along a lawn edge or path reads as a boundary rather than a decoration. A longer stake keeps the flame clear of low planting.
Patio and terrace
Clustered at the corners of a seating area, the torch lifts scent to head height. Choose a shorter stake where the pot or planter already adds height.
Events and venues
Rental companies and venues order in bulk because the format can be re-staked. Plain wax suits neutral venues; brand-colored wax suits sponsor-led events.

PRODUCTION
From Wax Blend to Sealed Carton
Torch production is short and repeatable, which is why lead times stay predictable. Sampling and bulk run on the same line in our workshop.

Wax blending
Paraffin or soy blend is melted, filtered and blended with citronella oil to the approved formula.

Molding and wicking
Bodies are cast, wicks centered, and a second pour closes the surface around the wick.

Stake and trim
Stakes are fitted, excess wax trimmed, and each torch is checked for a straight, centered wick.

Packing
Labels, warning text and barcodes are applied, then cartons are sealed, palletised and checked against the order.

What is the minimum order for torch candles?
2,000 pcs per size and color. Mixed colors are accepted within one size, and trial quantities are quoted case by case.
How long does a torch candle burn?
Burn time follows fill weight and body diameter. The figure on your approved sample is the one we confirm; most outdoor torch formats sit in the 25 to 60 hour range.
Can the torch carry our logo?
Yes. Wax color, body color, a label or sleeve and the carton can all carry your brand, and a printed mock-up is approved before production.
Is the citronella blend a repellent?
It is a DEET-free scented candle, not a registered repellent device, and it contains no insecticide. It works best in still air and small spaces, alongside other measures. Warning text is matched to the destination market.
Can torches ship with other outdoor candles?
Yes. Citronella buckets, terracotta and mosquito repellent candles are produced in the same plant, so one container can mix formats.
What stake length should we order?
It depends on the ground and the body weight. Tell us where the torch will stand and we propose a length; a sample confirms the standing height.
